There is no end to the fight for peace.

The Olympics symbolize a celebration of peace. The purpose of the Games is to bring together various countries and regions of the world to build new cooperation through exchange through sports. However, in the year 2021, when coronas will be spreading, the world will be beset with conflicts such as the battle for the coronavirus vaccine, the Southeast China Sea, the G7's diplomatic friction with China, the military regime's suppression of the citizens' democracy movement in Myanmar, and the succumbing of democracy in Hong Kong under China's State Security Law. In particular, on May 27, the United Nations (WHO) called for $95 million (about 10 billion yen) in emergency aid for the Gaza Strip, which has suffered catastrophic damage in the conflict between Israel and Palestinian armed forces. The Japanese government responded immediately, announcing an emergency grant of $10 million on June 4.

In the 4th century B.C., Plato wrote about the ideal state, and in the 15th century, Thomas More wrote in his Utopia that "nothing is more dishonorable than honor gained in war." In 2021, the world is celebrating the first peace festival in five years, but there is still no end in sight to humanity's struggle for peace.
