This is the latest protocol that combines mild brain hypothermia (mild-BHT) and targeted temperature time management (TTM) for acute encephalopathy in children, which we have been working with ICU team since 2019.

  After the introduction of this protocol, dramatic clinical improvement has been observed in childhood-onset acute encephalopathy (Acute Necrotizing Encephalopathy: ANE and Hemorrhagic Shock Encephalopathy Syndrome: HSES ) case. We also believe that this protocol may prevent the onset of acute encephalopathy (Acute Encephalopathy with biphasic Seizure and late reduced Diffusion: AESD) , which occurs after status epilepticus.
